Time: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by lunch and awards
Ages: 2 thru 16, divided into 5 Classes
Purpose: To promote Fun, Outdoor activities , and respect for our environment.
A Score Card is kept for each child, recording the number and length of each fish. Awards are presented to the Top 3 in each Class, and Special Awards are given to the Smallest Fish, the Largest Fish and the Most Inches of Fish caught. Every participating child gets a Certificate and a Door Prize. Lunch is provided and supplied by the IWLA Club.
The IWLA sponsors the Annual Fishing Rodeo for kids in Harrisonburg, Rockingham County and the Vicinity each year, since 1956, to promote environmental awareness and appreciation in the young people of today in hope that they will take these lessons with them as they continue to enjoy the great outdoors as adults.
